Tanja Kühberger

Tanja Kühberger is a naturopath in Hauzenberg near Passau, Germany, and a certified afterlife contact medium. Her path began as a nurse; the wish to see the whole person led her to naturopathy in 2011 and to mediumistic work in 2015. She was trained and certified by Paul Meek at his Mediale Highschool – in her own words „to a high British standard". She keeps her sittings explicitly separate from her naturopathic practice, as independent spiritual work. She does not want information in advance: who is expected is precisely what she prefers not to know, because she sees it as her task to provide concrete evidence of the connection. She begins her mental preparation about three-quarters of an hour before the appointment; a sitting usually lasts around an hour. If no accurate information comes through she breaks off – no charge is made and she offers a new appointment. Her reserve about her own offering is striking. After a death she advises waiting some three months until the first phase of grief has been worked through. And because repeated contact can „lead to a kind of dependency", she recommends no more than one sitting a year; where grief persists she points to support within her naturopathic practice. An afterlife contact, she writes, is no substitute for psychological or medical treatment, and she gives no promises of healing.
