Dr. Varda Hasselmann (born 1946) is one of the best-known trance mediums in the German-speaking world. A scholar of literature and medieval studies, she was preparing for an academic career before discovering her trance mediumship in 1983. Since 1984, together with her energy partner Frank Schmolke, who guides the sessions with structured questions, she has been transmitting the soul teachings of a transpersonal "source" from the causal dimension of consciousness. This work produced bestsellers such as "Archetypen der Seele" (Archetypes of the Soul) and "Welten der Seele" (Worlds of the Soul), most recently the autobiographical "Medialität und Trance" (Arkana), and the teaching system SEPTANA® – Archetypes of the Soul® with seminars on archetypes, soul family and primal fear. Varda Hasselmann does not offer one-on-one sittings, and for reasons of age she has handed the seminar leadership over to Anette Pichler and Benedikte Baumann, whose work she continues to accompany closely.
