Rev. Bonnie White

Rev. Bonnie White lives at Lily Dale, where she is a registered medium of the Assembly and a Church of the Living Spirit Certified Medium and Healer. She is also an artist — and for her the two belong together: her art manifests Spirit, and her mediumship allows Spirit to manifest in art. The gift showed itself early: as a child, by her own account, she left her body at night and returned to see an angel standing at the foot of her bed; all life forms, especially flowers, were entities to her, and she spent hours in communication with them. Her father was an artist and a healer who could take away people's pain — while always making them promise to see a medical professional as soon as possible; her mother was a poet. After a B.A. in Art from Berea College she taught art in public schools and raised her family on a dairy farm in western New York State, where with her own flock of sheep and four looms she designed and wove stoles and jackets from natural fibres. A quilting circle with friends turned into a meditation and healing circle in those years. From there she extended her studies to Reiki healing and advanced mediumship with the Trilogy Institute, took part faithfully in the mediumship circles of the Church of the Living Spirit at Lily Dale led by Patricia Price and Judith Rochester, and travelled to England to study spirit communication at the Arthur Findlay College. Her daughter Willa White is also a registered medium at Lily Dale. She begins every reading with a prayer to establish the connection, and brings through messages from loved ones, guides and angels. Her distinctive approach combines mediumship with Spirit Art: she closes her eyes and begins to draw, sometimes using a whole handful of charcoal and both hands. What at first seems random resolves into faces and symbols — often the sitter is the first to notice a figure, a relative, a friend, an angel or a guide before she opens her eyes. She then gives the messages that come through the drawing and from her inner clairvoyance, clairaudience and clairsentience; there is always time for questions. A 30-minute session costs $150 in person and $175 by telephone, with an optional 11" x 14" charcoal spirit drawing. An hour is $250 in person and $275 by telephone, with an optional pastel painting. For telephone readings the postage and handling for the artwork is included. A two-hour session including a 16" x 20" acrylic painting in colour is offered in person only, at $500 — an original painting about you, your spiritual unfoldment and the connection you hold at this point in your life. She does not provide recordings, but sitters may record the session themselves or take notes.
