Rev. Dr. Janice Dreshman
250$/30minRev. Dr. Janice L. Dreshman comes from Pittsburgh and lives at Lily Dale, where she is listed as a registered medium of the Assembly and served a full three-year term on its board. By her own account she could see and hear spirits as a child but only developed these abilities deliberately in her mid-twenties; Celtic and Native American traditions, her Swedish family lineage and pilgrimages to England, Scotland and Ireland all shape her work. Besides her mediumship she is an ordained minister and has worked professionally for more than thirty years with children, adolescents, adults, the elderly and the military — focusing on trauma, crisis, grief, suicide prevention and psycho-spiritual transformation. She has worked with the Pennsylvania Department of Education, the National Organization for Victim Assistance and the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation, and served with victims and families after the crash of US Air Flight 427 and after 9/11. For this work she received the Crystal Award and the General Colin Powell Leadership Award. She holds a Master's degree in Social Work and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and is co-author of the books „Caring in Times of Crisis" and „Can you ask my Dad what it's like in Heaven". At Lily Dale she also runs the Haven Himalayan Salt Cave; as a certified therapy dog handler she appears with her dog Sir Tibbetts Wick at events, hospitals and libraries. She reads for clients all over the world, including children and teenagers, and is available year-round for telephone sittings; in-person appointments take place at Lily Dale (12 South Street), especially during the summer camp season from late June to Labor Day. She considers telephone readings just as effective as in-person ones — she works from the voice vibration, and everything else proceeds the same way. An individual session lasts 30 minutes and costs $250; for in-person appointments $100 is due at booking. A speciality of hers is readings for pets and animals of all kinds — from dogs and cats to horses and pigs, birds, elephants, giraffes and orangutans, both living and in spirit; these also cost $250 for 30 minutes, and a photograph can be uploaded when booking. Appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance and fill quickly, particularly in the summer season; rescheduling is possible only through the link in the confirmation e-mail.
