Gary Mannion

Gary Mannion is a British healer who works as a psychic surgeon. His path began early: at thirteen his father took him to a Spiritualist church, where during the demonstration he heard a voice: "You can do that too." At fourteen he received permission from the Spiritualists' National Union to demonstrate publicly in its churches, at sixteen he was allowed to work officially as a healer — and at eighteen a spirit healer named Abraham made himself known, who has used him as an instrument for psychic surgery ever since: Mannion works in trance while Abraham, as he describes it, works through his hands and can "see inside" the clients' bodies. What stands out is the scientific documentation of his healing work: from 2006, Tricia Robertson and Prof. Archie Roy of the Scottish Society for Psychical Research followed, over five years, the progress of patients with clearly diagnosed, medically documented illnesses who were treated by Mannion and the healer Nina Knowland — with video interviews before and after the sessions and comparison against the medical records. Robertson speaks of "spectacular results", some of which "would indicate a form of psychic surgery"; fifteen of these cases are published in her book "More Things You Can Do When You're Dead" (2015). These are documented individual cases, not a controlled clinical trial — yet as a multi-year case documentation by experienced researchers it remains a rarity in the healing field. Mannion works internationally, including in Britain, Australia and Scandinavia; in the German-speaking world his healing sessions can regularly be booked through the Basler Psi-Verein, where interview and demonstration videos of him are also available.
