Rachel Casson

Rachel Casson has one of the most unusual biographies in the directory: the Englishwoman was a world-class water skier and British champion in the 1990s, until a fall at 170 km/h at the 1991 World Championships in Darwin changed her life. The long, painful road to recovery that followed led her to Spiritualism — she describes a trance healing as the turning point. Today she holds the OSNU award of the Spiritualists' National Union in the tradition of British Spiritualism, works part-time as a sports and massage therapist, and otherwise devotes herself entirely to mediumship and spiritual healing. Her events calendar is densely filled: divine services, demonstrations and trance workshops at Spiritualist churches across England, including at the Pioneer Centre at Stansted Hall. In the German-speaking world, Marion Schäfer-Staudigl names her as one of her continuing-education teachers. Her prices are published transparently on her website: a 30-minute online reading via Zoom £35, inspired readings (spiritual assessment or evidential) £35 for 30 or £65 for 60 minutes, a psychic reading £35 — and, as a speciality, trance communications (£40/30 min, £60/60 min), in which her guide collective named "Peter" speaks through her. Added to this are spiritually inspired trance healing sessions and Reiki (£55 each); healing is given hands-on, near the body, or as absent healing at a distance.
