Irene Gira-Marl
150 €Irene Gira-Marl works as a medium for spirit communication at her practice at Schallaburg near Melk in Lower Austria. She describes her purpose plainly: she wants to give people evidence that life does not end with physical death. In a private sitting she first looks to see who comes forward from the spirit world and what the deceased has to say; afterwards the client may ask questions. Often, she says, the open questions have been answered by then anyway – the departed know what is weighing on someone. She is equally clear about the limits. The spirit world never intervenes in a life where that is not permitted. Free will is respected, as is the fact that each of us has to work through our tasks in our own way. A sitting lasts about an hour and costs 150 euros including VAT. It is recorded, and the recording is handed over afterwards either on CD or as a download. Appointments at the practice are possible Monday to Friday by arrangement, or alternatively by WhatsApp video or Zoom; online sittings are paid for in advance through the shop. Two things are worth knowing in advance. Irene Gira-Marl arranges appointments by telephone only – not by email, not via Facebook, not via WhatsApp. And the current waiting time for an appointment is around one year. Alongside private sittings she gives talks and mediumship evenings with live spirit communication, answering questions after the talk and passing personal messages to individual members of the audience. Her teaching work is extensive: three-day seminars running Friday to Sunday are open to anyone without prior experience, advanced seminars build on them, and there is an intensive seminar week at Dürnstein in the Wachau valley. Anyone who completes nine three-day seminars receives a training certificate. Every seminar combines three strands: training sensitivity through aura reading, healing work on one's own history, and training mediumship in contact with the departed. The conviction behind it: the gift of mediumship is present in every person from the outset, and she sees it as her task to make that spark shine. Her training has produced a team of its own, presented on her website – among them Daniela Habenicht. She is the author of the book „Gibt es ein Leben nach dem Tod? – Erfahrungen eines Mediums" (Is There Life After Death? – Experiences of a Medium) and has released two meditation CDs. She has appeared repeatedly in Austrian media: in the ATV documentary „Jenseits von Grenzen" (May 2024), in filming for the ORF programme „Am Schauplatz" (April 2023), in a feature in the business section of the magazine „Profil" (2024), and in the Niederösterreichische Wirtschaftszeitung (2019).
