Colin Bates

Colin Bates is an English medium and ordained Minister of the Spiritualists' National Union based in Stansted, England. For over 25 years he was a tutor and course organiser at the Arthur Findlay College; as a trance medium he was trained under the tutelage of the legendary Gordon Higginson. He has worked as a medium since the 1980s, more than ten of those years exclusively in spiritual healing — he is a registered Spiritualist healer — and for a time also served as a prison chaplain. He is featured in the Netflix series "Surviving Death". For some 30 years he has been training mediums, from beginners to working professionals: multi-month online mentorships via Zoom (mediumship, professional and trance, each limited to 20 students), workshops and Spiritualist church services. A sought-after public and private demonstrator, his spirit communication aims to prove the continuity of life beyond the change called death; he also offers personalised sessions for guidance and clarity.
