Carrie Cox from Bowling Green, Kentucky, is a Windbridge Certified Research Medium: she passed the eight-step screening of the Windbridge program founded by Dr. Julie Beischel – including psychological tests, interviews and blinded readings in which her statements about the deceased were scientifically evaluated – and has since regularly donated time to mediumship research. She is also a certified forensic profiler and drew on her involvement in a real missing-person case from 2000 for her novel "Alligator Alibi".
