Pascal Voggenhuber is one of the most renowned mediums in the German-speaking world. Through his bestsellers, sold-out lectures, and down-to-earth manner, he has lasting influence on the perception of mediumship. He is considered a bridge-builder between worlds, showing without mystical pretense that the spirit world is a natural part of our lives.
From "Ordinary" Boy to Medium
Pascal Voggenhuber was born on 11 February 1980 in Basel and is a Swiss-Austrian dual citizen. Contrary to what many might expect, he did not grow up in an explicitly spiritual environment. However, his mediumistic gift appeared early: even as a child, he perceived the deceased, which was initially confusing as he long believed this was normal for everyone.
After training as an actor and various professional stages, he decided to professionally train his mediumistic gift. He completed a thorough education as a medium, including training with Andy Schwab in Switzerland as well as time in England at the renowned Arthur Findlay College. There, he learned the techniques of British mediumship, which is characterized by evidence and ethics.
Breakthrough as an Author and Media Star
His major public breakthrough came in 2007 with his first book "Leben im Jenseits" (Life in the Afterlife). It became an immediate bestseller and made him known far beyond the borders of Switzerland. In his books, he writes clearly, humorously, and authentically about topics often perceived as "heavy" or "scary." His goal was and is to take away the fear of death and show that our loved ones continue to accompany us.
Following his initial success, he made numerous television appearances, including on Swiss television, Sat.1 (e.g. with Johannes B. Kerner in 2009), RTL, and many other stations. His authentic manner made him a popular guest on talk shows.
From 2013 onwards, Voggenhuber had his own documentary series on Sat.1 Schweiz, "DAS MEDIUM – Nachricht aus dem Jenseits", in which he accompanied clients in private sittings and public events. The series achieved very strong ratings and put mediumship for the first time into a primetime-near format on Swiss private television.
Pascal Voggenhuber also began booking large halls to demonstrate mediumship live in front of an audience. These events were often completely sold out. While he initially gave individual sessions, he eventually had to give them up as the waiting list grew to several years. Instead, he focused on public appearances, seminars, and building a large online community for his fans to provide access to his work to as many people as possible simultaneously.
Numerous other bestsellers followed, such as "Nachricht aus dem Jenseits", "Entdecke deinen Geistführer", "Botschafter der unsichtbaren Welt", and "Enjoy this Life". In total, Voggenhuber has now published around 15 books – every one of them reached the Swiss top-10 bestseller lists, many have been translated into several languages. In 2017 he received the GfK Award for his sales success. In his more recent works, he places more emphasis on how to lead a happy and fulfilled life in the here and now – for Voggenhuber, spirituality is not an escape from everyday life but a tool to better master life.
Spirit Messenger Center: From Student to Teacher
As early as 2009, Voggenhuber founded his own training centre: the Spirit Messenger Center in Sissach (Canton Basel-Landschaft). There he trains other mediums and passes on the tradition he himself learned at the Arthur Findlay College. With this, he brings the rigorous British school of evidence-based mediumship into the German-speaking world with a permanent institutional base – a step of considerable importance for the development of serious mediumship in Switzerland and beyond.
Cooperation with the Police
A particularly exciting chapter in his biography is the cooperation with investigative authorities. Voggenhuber worked for several years for the Swiss police in solving crimes and missing persons cases. He used his mediumistic perception to provide leads that were not accessible through conventional means.
As we describe in detail in our blog article "Mediums in Police Work," this engagement ended due to security concerns after he was involved in a case with a mafia background. Nevertheless, his work in this area remains strong evidence for the validity of mediumistic information.
The collaboration between Voggenhuber and the Swiss police was so impressive that even the famous crime series Tatort dedicated an episode to the story: In the Swiss production "Zwischen zwei Welten" (Between Two Worlds, 2014), the medium "Pablo Guggisberg" assists the Lucerne inspectors in their investigations – according to the Luzerner Zeitung, the character is based on Pascal Voggenhuber.
Voggenhuber's Philosophy: "Evidence-Based Mediumship"
Pascal Voggenhuber stands for a form of mediumship based on facts and evidence. In an afterlife contact, he is not interested in vague messages like "I am doing well," but in specific details: names, circumstances of death, shared experiences, or objects that only the client can know.
This down-to-earth approach has earned him much respect, even from people who are rather skeptical of the topic. He repeatedly emphasizes: "A medium should never say: 'Just believe me.' A medium must prove that the contact is real."
Enjoy this Life: Spirituality in Everyday Life
In recent years, Voggenhuber has increasingly dedicated himself to life counseling and coaching. With his concept "Enjoy this Life," he motivates people to discover their own intuition and take responsibility for their happiness. He combines mediumistic insights with modern coaching methods.
Conclusion
Pascal Voggenhuber has dusted off mediumship in the German-speaking world. He has shown that one can be spiritual without losing one's footing. Whether through his books, his lectures, or his training courses – he has helped thousands of people gain a new perspective on life and what comes after.
